I feel like bug is no longer a newborn. Sometimes I feel like she is a full blown adolescent; that she just hopped right over toddler and kid. Perhaps it is just that I am getting to know her more. She just seems so old and wise to me at times. Like it is painful that she doesn't yet have words to communicate her insight.

She is becoming so alert and observant. It is like she is a cross between infant and old man. She wrinkles her forehead in contemplation. Or maybe she is pooping. Either way, it is profound.

What I love right now...

Her yummy chubby chin; her buttery cheeks, peppered with tiny zits; her dewy breath that smells rich and sugary sweet; her neck roll that creates the perfect nook for kissing; the dents where her eyebrows will be; her hinting at a smile...she definitely recognizes me and gets all breathy and twitchy when I talk.

When I look at these pictures, it is you, Nici, that I see. You are the one that has made the huge leaps in my eyes. You are quite the blossoming parent. XOXO Joan

so is she a miniature Andy? I can't tell yet. But the one with her mouth open definitely looks like an Andy mouth...but your eyes. I need to see her in person. How fun.
